From the psychiatrist Hans Prinzhorn’s collection to Jean Dubuffet’s art brut: where outsider art comes from and how it is seen today.

Three months of art workshops in three social centres in Cluj-Napoca, for people with intellectual disabilities.
Pas Cultural is an art programme that ran for three months in three social centres in Cluj-Napoca, created so that people with intellectual disabilities could explore and assert their own artistic inclinations. The project was carried out with the support of Start ONG by Kaufland.

In the workshops we worked with whatever was to hand: brushes and watercolours, leaves used as stamps, the participants’ own hands and magazines cut up for collage.

The social workers told us that the atmosphere in the centres had changed visibly, and the participants are waiting for us to come back and create together.
Almost 50 people took part, in three partner social centres.
The project is funded through the Start ONG programme, launched by Kaufland Romania and implemented by the Act for Tomorrow Association.
