What is outsider art?
From the psychiatrist Hans Prinzhorn’s collection to Jean Dubuffet’s art brut: where outsider art comes from and how it is seen today.

Works by Vizibil artists at the Ambulatoriul Integrat SCBI Cluj: art as an antidote to the stress of waiting.
For many people, waiting to see a doctor is a tense time: a chair, a number on a screen, thoughts that will not stop. The pilot exhibition at the Ambulatoriul Integrat SCBI Cluj, the outpatient clinic of the Spitalul Clinic de Boli Infecțioase Cluj-Napoca (Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital), starts from a simple idea: art can be an antidote to the stress of waiting.
The works leave the exhibition hall and go where people have not come for art, but have time to look. For the artists, it is a new audience. For patients and the people who come with them, it is a reason to look up.

A pilot is a first attempt. We are watching closely what happens in the room, so that we know how it can continue.

If you work in an institution with a waiting room and would like an exhibition there, write to us.
